I’m a simple guy, with simple explanations. I expected the HOT AND SOUR SOUP, to be both hot and sour. This is supposed to be a staple of this cuisine, but the day I tried the soup, the place must have run out of vinegar. #FAIL . Next the ABC CHICKEN ( no jokes about Already Been Chewed), their namesake speciality, seemed to be nothing more than, caramelized sugar upon breaded chicken with a side of fried rice. It calls into question again, the chef’s ability to season or the establishment’s available stores? The ABC Mandarin has been around for several years, but if this is typical of what they have placing before their diners, it doesn’t say much for their clientele’s palates. I did enjoy the simplicity of the fried rice, and this is not hyperbole, it was well executed and flavorful. It was a surprise to have the side outshine the entre.
Wide variety. We came here once with a large group. If you can swing it, that is the best way to be introduced to the wide variety of dishes they serve. Coming back on our own, we’re presented with a lot of choices. The tangerine beef is good, but the things that come with the combinations are hit and miss. If you like your hot and sour soup to actually be sour, ask them. The way it is served by default is toned down because they received a lot of requests. They can fix it if you ask.

Take out can be slow! Dine in.. I suggest that if you are going to eat here, dine in. I’ve had numerous experiences with extremely slow takeout orders. They don’t seem to mind making you wait. However eating inside has never been a problem. The owner is very nice, but based off my bad takeout orders I won’t be ging back.
My family and I have been going to ABC Mandarin for years. The owner always says hi when he is around. The food is always delicious. I’m a big fan of the Tangerine chicken and the Lo Mein. I always take family or friends there when they want good Chinese food.
Wonderful! The dinner was excellent. Properly seasoned. Large family portions. An unexpected find.
Beautiful restaurant, great atmosphere! Jonathan and his staff serve a wonderful meal. Go during Chinese New Year for a special treat! I’ve loved this place for years!
