MEH…. Pros and Cons. We ordered the fried green tomatoes. they were battered and deep fried. Tasted like grease n snot. The pulled pork is good, the corn bread is good. The brisket was fattier than most brisket I have had, the Mac n Cheese tasted like it was made with powdered cheese, the fries were quite bland. Our waitress was very nice, the rest of the staff…moved slow without purpose and a couple of them looked really angry…like they wanted to be anywhere but there.

Awful. It took an hour and a half for us to get our food and then it was cold and did not taste good. the portion was small. the service was bad. We will not go back or recommend to friends. My husband and i have been craving creole since we got home from new orleans and this place was a big disappointment
I felt like I was back in the south where good food has great flavor. Great menu and flavorful food. If you think Utah’s catsup flavored bbq is actually bbq, you’re up in the night. Southern Comfort took me back home where the meat has flavor because it is properly cooked/smoked not because it is saturated in gooy sauce. The ribs were great! I also tried the catfish, excellent job on that too. The service could not have been faster, friendlier or more efficient. I’ll be back.
Loved the experience!. Thanks Jodi for such a great experience! My nephew grew up in Mississippi and he ate his whole plate of red beans and rice then ate half of my jambalaya. Plus we walked into a Mardi Gras party with live music thanks to Sam. Our new go to place!
NOFLAVOR. Just came here recently with my sister 2/2/2015. We are brisket fans so we were excited to try it!! Ordered a coffee which came out cold…twice. I had hope after we had their over priced cheese curds which we liked, but not worth $7 since they barely give you any….next came the brisket and the sides I ordered the Mac and Cheese and Mashed potatoes my sister got the brisket but with green beans and bacon as her side and the mashed potatoes… Anyway. EVERYTHING came out COLD AND BLAND!!!!!!!! Which was odd since the plates were warm… The Mac and cheese didn’t even taste like cheese. It was more of that processed liquid cheese but watered down with sprinkles of Parmesan cheese… The mashed potatoes the only good thing about it was the texture of them since they actually felt like they used real potatoes… brisket was mostly fat and had no flavor… The corn bread was cold and was obviously from a box which is understandable. All in all it was all way over priced for very low quality food… I’d rather go to Dickeys Barbeque Pit than this place. Also there was an old man who kept coming out to stare at you eating…that was also uncomfortable.Save your money from this place. Save your stomach.
Amazing comfort food!!. I am so happy with their food, their service, and everything else! I will be going again and soon! There’s quite a few things I’m still wanting to try!omg! The fried pickles were amazing! Thank you for opening up here in utah! I’ve missed my southern food!!5 stars from me for sure!
