I ordered a squid salad and miso soup to go. I feel like they were really stingy with their food. With how much the squid salad was cost they should give a little more than it’s served in a tiny little bowl. The packaging was horrible, i couldn’t open the lid without the soup spilling. The soup was also served in a little tiny bowl not enough to fill my stomach. My friend got a sushi burrito, with the sauce on the side. The wasabi was only served with only a quarter size, based on how big the sushi burrito is, the wasabi should be served more enough for the burrito.

My order was actually from the Sushi Burrito in Layton, but that didn’t seem to be an option. Warning to sushi lovers: this is not sushi. It is sushi themed. So pros first, cons second. Pro: big servings. Pro: There were ingredient options that most sushi places don’t include (like chicken) so it might appeal to a larger group of people. Con: I tried 6 different sushi burritos with my family. Only 1 was good. The California Sumo was good. The other 5 were not. The tuna smelled bad and was definitely no where near fresh. If the burrito was supposed to have avocado in it, it must have been buried DEEP because I saw and tasted no avocado. Con: No eel. The menu offered sushi burritos with eel sauce, but none of them offered eel. Eel is one of my favorites. Con: My kids LOVE sushi. They begged me to get sushi for them. After a bite of each, they all asked to be excused from the meal. My daughter was actually crying, because she loves sushi so much and was so disappointed (she’s 9, so a little overly emotional). For the size of the burritos you pay about the same as a regular sushi roll, but considering that no one wanted to eat these, it was a very expensive load of garbage. Everyone is different though, if you like the idea of sushi, but wish it wasn’t fish, you may have found the food for you. For people who really enjoy sushi, I would not recommend this place.

This is an excellent concept. Big portions, fast service, and a great location. One of the best sushi themed places in town. This is an up and coming place, so it might take a while to get your food because it’s really busy at times, but it’s worth the wait.
