MY FaV BakErY!. By far the best bakery. It can be a bit pricey for larger cakes but I certainly am not hesitant to spend a little more for better tasting, better servicing bakery.I like the cozy atmosphere and have been back! I intend to hang out here a lot more.
Few ingredients, No preservatives, Best French bakery in SLC. Tulie Bakery is hands down the best croissant you can get in town. I’m going to go as far as to say, the French would be proud of these croissants. Have them heat it up for you if you have the time. If you like chocolate, you’ve GOT to try a bouchon (so much better than a brownie). The ginger tile cookies are great for little ones. I’m also a fan of their coconut cream tart, their chocolate cake, the morning bun (heated), their toasted turkey, Brie sandwich… There. So there are my favorites. If I come in and you’ve finished them all before I get there, ( And this does happen.) I will cry. But luckily I have so many favorites, I can always figure something out. Oh, also try the quiche, warmed of course, and I like the one with bacon. I always get the chai too…
Consistently high quality. I snack here almost weekly and have never had a bad experience — these are very skilled bakers using quality ingredients. Flavors and textures demonstrate this. The morning buns have converted even this pecan sticky bun fanatic. Seating is limited — small window counter and two long tables; best suited for singletons or couples (take treatsies out to your very grateful family, friends, or co-workers). Sunny south windows but drafty when cold outside. Small patio on east for good weather.Coffee census Fall 2012: excellent morning bun, 12 oz coffee( smaller available); china cups/plates; newspapers; ca. $5.80. Usually busy 9ish.
Quaint place to enjoy a latte and fresh pastries. Let’s just put it this way- I have never had anything from Tulie’s that wasn’t absolutely perfect. Everything from the quiche to the cupcakes to the croissants has been consistently up to par for their higher prices– we even had them do our wedding cake! The place itself has been redone nicely since Xocolate left a few years ago and feels very modern and fresh.
Baker’s Delight!. Quite possibly the best coffee you can get in Salt Lake City… especially paired with an oven warmed Gougere and some Powder Sugared Beignets (Saturday Mornings). Well worth the stop!
Best croissant ever!! The brouche and lemon bar were both delicious as well. Loved the atmosphere
Tulie bakery uses sysco products, haven’t you seen the delivery trucks, they don’t use natural butter at all. False. Its hard to see the tribune give a great review for stolen recipes. The morning bun is from Tartine!!!!!16 Aug, 2011Originally I am from San Francisco and have been a fan of a small bakery on Gurerro street by my side the name of Tartine. Recently I moved to salt lake for work and happened upon this bakery, mind you Tartine is simple and has no sign stating that its a bakery, just the amazing smell wafting around, as soon as I entered Tulie bakery i realized that they had stolen all of the Tartine recipes. Tulie bakery is a rip off of Tartine and if you don’t believe me, go buy Tartine’s cookbook and make all of it at home, instead of supporting people that can’t come up with theiroriginal own original ideas. Tartine can pull it off better, if ever in San Francisco, go to Tartine and taste what I’m talking about.
