Royal India is simply the best Indian restaurant in Utah. It has spoiled me for any other Indian restaurant in the west. The lamb Sauga is incredible. As is the chicken Teaka masala. Thomas AutoCorrect. I meant to say darn this article wrecked. Are you kidding me?
I’ve had great experiences at the 3 different visits I’ve had to Royal India. The sauces were flavorful and meats tender. I often find that Indian places get away with the quality of chicken because it is swimming in sauce. However, Royal India has great chicken. The tikka masala is my favorite. Don’t be fooled by the simple curb presence. Once you enter you can see how charming it is decorated. I recommend this place!
Never disappoints. As good as Bombay House and other staples. Service was excellent.
Love it.. Royal India is one of my top three favorite Indian restaurants in the Valley, along with Bombay House and Himalayan Kitchen. It’s nice not to have to drive downtown for Indian food, and Royal India is far superior to some other restaurants in the area (like Aroma in Draper). I’ve never had any problems with service, whether I dine in or get takeout. I’ve never ordered anything I didn’t like. It’s in a strip mall and the atmosphere is a little lacking, but I love this place.
So so good!. We love Indian food and we tried this place on a whim one night (I live close to it but never noticed it before since it’s part of a strip mall). It is my favorite Indian place to eat now! The food has excellent flavor. I can’t speak to it’s authenticity since I’ve never been to India, but the flavors are definitely deeper than I’ve had at other Indian restaurants. The service was excellent as well. Some other reviewers seem to have bad experiences with service? Ours was excellent. But then, we also went at 9 PM when we were basically the only people in the restaurant so everyone stopped to clear plates or fill our pitcher with water (it’s always a bonus when they give you a pitcher of water). Will return many many times!
AMAZING CURRY!!!. We got the yellow chicken curry and it was PERFECT! Best curry we have ever had (and we eat a LOT of curry). Definitely one of our new favorite restaurants!
My wife and I have enjoyed Indian cusine for a combined 55 years and this is THE BEST we’ve ever had. The owner told us that many of the recipies are unique to his family due to his mother’s influence. Although we don’t live in the area, we hope to be back.
