Love it here!. This is one of my favorite restaurants of all time and the service is super nice. Try the spicy szechuan dishes when you can, perfect if you’re looking for authentic chinese food.
Lost its taste. My wife and I moved in to the neighborhood nearby Szechuan garden and was rarely disappointed but lately like the last 5 times it has been absolutely terrible and will not be ordering from there again it’s sad to say
This is my very first review of any kind. I felt compelled to write one after dining here. This place is fantastic! We had American favorites, General Tsao’s chicken, ham fried rice and egg foo yung, because my husband is not used to Chinese food. Everything was delicious! The chicken was delicately breaded and so fresh. It was so authentic, just like Grandma or one of my Auntie’s would’ve made. I haven’t ever tasted such fresh and authentic Chinese food in Utah before. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. We felt incredibly welcomed and comfortable here. That it’s right by my house makes me so happy I moved here. It’s truly a hidden gem in the neighborhood. We will definitely be back!
Maybe I ordered the wrong thing…. I had the lunch special of Mongolian Beef. The hot and sour soup was tasty. The egg role was greasy and tasteless with an unappealing sweet and sour sauce. The Mongolian beef was mildly spiced, greasy, and tough. Polling the others at the table who ordered full dishes instead of the lunch specials yielded mixed reviews. Some dishes were very good, others mediocre to bad.
Love this place!!. I’ve actually eaten here several times and today I went with a good friend of mine who is from Beijing. She gave it a thumbs up and said that this food was just like home. There were several other Chinese in the restaurant when we ate and, at the risk of being politically incorrect, my thought was if this is where the Chinese are eating, it MUST be good. I was not disappointed. The food is spectacular, especially the Chengdu Spicy Chicken and Spicy Fish w/ Pork. There are many authentic and exotic options to choose from such as jellyfish, rabbit, tea-smoked duck, pigs feet, and even spicy intestines! Definitely not for every one and I can see how a typical American might be turned off by the spice level. The American Chinese options are simply the best I have ever tasted in Utah (e.g., walnut shrimp, beef egg foo young, shrimp fried rice) The food is unlike anything I have ever eaten and all at great prices. The staff and cook are especially friendly and really go out of their way to make you feel like you are having a great experience. The cook came out and spoke with us and made sure everything was ok. She was very nice and really cared about her customers. Love this place for its unique food, friendly staff! I will definitely keep going back!
Soggy potstickers, eggrolls are buttery and soggy, help was horrible.
Excellent. Reliably excellent, inexpensive Chinese food. My family and I eat there at least twice a month.
