They have a wonderful lunch buffet. I’m a huge fan of Indian food (even cook it myself) and this place doesn’t disappoint. As a nice family-owned restaurant, the food is very good and extremely affordable. The lunch buffet is an amazing value–dangerous for dieters! For dinner, we can’t not have the delicious Mango chicken curry or the yummy Garlic naan. The aloo gobi is wonderful too. The staff (owners) are not among the friendliest people in the world, but their food more than makes up for it.
Incredible. That’s the word that describes the food. This is our favorite place to go for Indian food. Don’t expect amazing food to come out quickly because it doesn’t. Trust me. If you want an excellent experience order your favorite dish and enjoy the atmosphere!
REALLY AWESOME FOOD.. No. Really. This is some of the greatest Indian food I’ve ever had. It’s just a little place with only a couple people on staff, but it is WELL worth the extra few minutes waiting. Members of my family and I have all decided that we like the Coconut Korma the best. We like to do take out because they seem to give you more food. Also, there are often coupons on their website, but it’s really reasonably priced ($12ish per person). Love me some Punjab.
Ranks right up there with the best in the valley… Be adventurous. Try medium spice. Lol
Lunch Buffet is Back. I just recently went back to Taste of Punjab after calling and being told their lunch buffet is back. It seems like after a slight dip of quality, they’re back in full force deliciousness. Their fresh naan is once again served to your table instead of drying out under the heat lamps, and their buffet still has their delicious signature dishes. Thanks for bringing it back!24 Apr, 2013No longer serving their amazing lunch buffet. We would frequent Taste of Punjab for their always-delicious, well-stocked lunch buffet. However, lately it had started going downhill. They no longer served naan to your table fresh from the kitchen, instead putting it in a dish under the lights in the buffet. And then the saddest thing occured; they stopped serving lunch buffet altogether. I sincerely hope they will start it back up again, as it was the whole reason we went there.
Always good. I’ve eaten here 6 or 8 times and it’s always pretty much been the same. Good service by the same two guys. Extremely slow, but if you know that going in you’re ok. The food always cooked to order and that takes some time. It is consistently flavorful and served in larger portions than some other Indian places. I’ve tried different dishes and enjoyed them all. If your not in a hurry, would like a quiet place to talk with friends or spouse over a nice meal, it works.
Amazing. Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. Whenever I’m in SLC and have a craving for Northern Indian cuisine this is the place. Friends from India introduced me to the Taste of Punjab and I owe them big time. This is a family owned and run business and you can taste their passion in every bite. Highly recommend.
