I wished I could have enjoyed the experience more though it did have a cheesily romantic air about it. The dimmed lights and soft music it had one of those first date vibes. I was rushing because of a prior engagement but the food here was fantastic. The special at the time, the foie gras tenderloin was extremely tender, even at blue rare, which I was really impressed by. The bread and butter and the salad were all very good but the crab cakes were kind of bland not the stuff youd find in Maryland but enough to keep your east-coast cravings at bay. If I had more time, Id love to go back and fully experience the restaurant but it was good for the time I was there.

Diplomacy Needed. This used to be on the short list of go-to places for special occasions for my wife and me. They do have some good stuff – elk, excellent scallops, nice salad and the specials were usually quite good as well. Two separate experiences turned the tide for us. The first one was at a wine tasting dinner. Usually these include the wines with the meal charge or at least unlimited samplings for a set price. We were delighted when they kept coming by and offering us more until we got the bill. Yikes. The second and deciding experience was when trying to use a 2 for 1 coupon. We didn’t see that it was invalid on a Friday night and would have gladly accepted that that was the rule. But the owner ripped us up one side and down the next for even trying to use it. We should have left right then but we were celebrating and just decided to go ahead with the meal anyway. We haven’t been back however.
