Just not up to par. The past few times, the rice was too soggy, the fish didn’t tastes as fresh and the sushi rolls had less ingredients and weren’t as tasty. One sushi chef is much better than the other, and we tend to get the bad one. Plus the dining area is sad and boring, the sushi bar is laughable. I’ve never seen one person sitting at the ‘bar’. Blue Finn already needs an overhaul to get it on par with places nearby.23 Jul, 2012Tasty rolls, great value!. Their sushi rolls are big, tasty and all are 50% off, which is a great value. Their Blue Finn roll is my favorite, covered in a sweet sauce with chunks of lobster mixed in. Their tempura California roll is a close second — massive and perfectly made. It’s just $1 more to get it battered and fried.Service is very fast and friendly. The sushi bar is a bit small and uncomfortable, but the tables are just fine. They keep a very clean place. It didn’t feel like it used to be a Wendy’s.My only complaint is that the soft shell crab in their Spider roll tasted a bit too fishy. And I wish they had an Executive roll on the menu. Guess I’ll have to ask for it next time just to make sure. This place could give Red Ginger a serious run for its money.UPDATE: Oct 15, 2012 — A few more must try rolls are their Pearl roll, with a thin slice of lemon on top of salmon on top, mmm. Their Funky roll is my new favorite, filled with yellowtail and eel and then tempura fried..it is just wonderful. Also, they employ two suchi chefs here and one is better than the other. I won’t say which, I’ll leave it a mystery hehe.
