Maxwells is an italian type restaurant with a sports bar atmosphere. The one in Park City shares an entrance with Myrtle Rose Restaurant. It is noisy, as most sports bars are. Our group had pizza by the slice, house salad, Caesar salad, tomato basil soup, and chicken parmigiana sandwich. Pizza, house salads, and soup were great. However, the Caesar salad and chicken sandwich were not as good. The Caesar had a bitter taste and the chicken in the sandwich was a little tough. Maxwells serves Pepsi products.
By far the worst pizza I’ve ever had. It was along the lines of Chuck E. Cheese, and I’m not exaggerating. I really wanted to like it, but couldn’t. Husband hated it, too. We couldn’t even manage to eat a slice each, and we ended up leaving the rest of the pizza at our table because we didn’t even want to bother with taking it home. We’re not pizza snobs…a Little Caesar’s will work just fine, although we like better pizza (The Pie, Mountain Mike’s, thin crust authentic types, even just plain old Pizza Hut), but we could not stomach this. Maybe it was just an off-night, but for real, this stuff tasted like vomit.That being said, their Phillies were INCREDIBLE, and their fries were fantastic. Wings and sandwiches were good, too. Good service, fun ambiance. We’ll be back, but we won’t ever be trying their hot circles of garbage again.
