Quaint :). This is your biggest bang for your buck! They prepare the vegetables fresh and prepare it quickly while you wait. The ambiance is less than desirable, but! they seem to keep the overhead low, so the prices are low. They have combination plates starting at $5.99 and our family of 4 shares two and has left overs! Enjoy!

I’m trying to be open minded about this place, yes it is clean and yes the people are friendly, but the food lacks flavor! Very bland chicken, hot and sour soup was overly sour, the egg rolls were battered and then deep fried, dripping with grease! The best thing was the kung pao, stick to the steamed rice, the ham fried rice was a bit greasy!

Pretty good food, hit and miss. First off their place is clean and quaint, settled in the middle of a strip mall. Not a lot of character to the dining area, and they use foam plastic plates and paper cups which is weird. Service is friendly and the cooking is pretty good. Their Kung Pao chicken is filled with bland chicken and is too simple for my liking. But their Szechwan Shrimp dish is excellent covered in that brown sweet/spicy sauce that reminded me a lot of a General Tso’s sauce. I couldn’t get enough of that. Too bad the portion size is so small with the seafood dishes.Overall, it’s not a bad option if you are in the neighborhood.

Love this place!! Sad I don’t get to eat there as much since we don’t live in T-Ville anymore. Worth the occasional trip though!!

Excellent value!. If you find yourself in Taylorsville, Szechwan Express is a great place to stop and get some cashew chicken or broccoli beef. The lunch combination comes with a generous portion of entree, ham-fried rice, wontons and an eggroll for $5. A great deal and good taste!
