Good food AND bowling. Valley Cafe is attached to the bowling alley in the northeast corner of the building, but is a separate space unto itself. I went in expecting overly-greasy bowling alley food but instead got a 50s style diner with some of the best home-cut french fries in the valley. Their fries are perfectly cooked, not too greasy, with just the right amount of salt, a slight crunch to the outside, soft on the inside. Their Valley burger has a lightly toasted bun, just the right amount of grease to it, and tasted pretty good with fry sauce, deli sliced ham and swiss cheese on top. The only downer is that it was on the small side for the price and I would have liked a thicker cut of ham instead of thin deli slices. A Valley burger, fries and a drink will run you about $7.50.The woman who works this place by herself is very friendly and cooks it all fresh to order. I was pleasantly surprised by this cute little place. Plus you can play Ms Pacman while you wait for your order. I’ll be back soon to try those fried mushrooms.
