Good Place to Eat. We wanted a place to eat that we did not have in SLC, and we found Don Pedro’s. We were impressed. The food was really good. The servers were friendly, and when our waitress was busy, the manager stopped by to make sure we were not neglected. It was as good if not better than some of my favorite Mexican places in the Salt Lake area. I would definitely eat here again.
Good value. Food was good. The service was slow, but they were fairly busy. Still, Mexican food does not usually take long to put together, but it did tonight. I would go back. My kids ate well, too.
This is an ok Mexican restaurant. Not great. The service is very slow so plan on a couple of hours for food. Food coming out of the kitchen is very slow paced. Once we got our food it was hot and looked good. The flavor was so so. My daughters hamburger was probably the most flavorful of all the 5 dishes. They can accommodate large groups but only had 3 people serving the entire restaurant. Salsa and chips were good. My wife really enjoyed the Refried beans that came right off the bat. So it’s ok but not good or great.
Love it. I been a customer from don pedros for over 6 years and it still be my favorite restaurant in town, people the don’t like this restaurant , don’t know what are they talking about..
Great!. I really thing the people posting here are being huge jerks for how great the food is compared to other places. I’ve tried every restaurant in town, and while I may not be some fancy city-slicker jerk, this is by far my favorite eating place.:)
4 Stars? Really too generous. I’m shocked that this restaurant has a four star rating. Not to insult St. George or anything but I’ve noticed residents aren’t foodies by any means (generalizing of course) mediocre restaurants succeed in a city with no taste. My husband was served refried beans in taco salad cups (like the kind that you get at the sizzler salad bar) with some sprinkled cheese on top. This was an entree on the menu. Yeah, Mexican is nice because it’s cheap and sometimes the quality isn’t there but you save some money… but of all the mexican restaurants go to to locally…this is one I would not recommend.
Bean dip was good but the salsa was only fair and unfortunately that is what defines a good Mexican restaurant!
