From Miami. I moved from Miami where’s their a colombian restaurant every corner. This place I found 6 months after being in small lake city. It is great but they are slow and family owned.

Fabulous and Authentic. The food is absolutely authentic Venezuelan. The ingredients are fresh and the food is prepared perfectly in accordance with traditional cuisine. The menu presents many choices from small bites to main courses, and specialty drinks. All dishes are made from scratch and freshly cooked to order, so be prepared to wait a bit for your food. This restaurant is comparable to any good traditional restaurant in Venezuela. The staff was more than courteous and attentive. Prices are reasonable and portions are large. The staff speaks English so no worries if you don’t speak Spanish. Specials are written in Spanish however, so ask if you don’t know what they are. Make sure to try the yuca frita, empanadas, and chicken avocado arepa (Reyna pepiada). Sauces include cream of avocado and guasacaca (like a spicy tomatillo salsa). Don’t be put off by the location. It is a hole in the wall. We will be back.

Really fun and not americanized. I found this on the map, checked some reviews and decided to take my dad there. He lived in Bolivia for two years and he really enjoyed the food. The food is not Americanized and I had a good time trying the different menu items. The fried banana sandwich was a fun experience and the traditional beans, meat, rice, egg plate was delicious. We also enjoyed the empanadas and empanada like sides. We were the only people there for lunch on a Wednesday. The workers were super friendly and my dad enjoyed speaking Spanish with them. There were a couple of TVs with a World Cup game playing live. It was a really fun experience.

I was always curious about Venezuelan food and a good friend of mine suggested to have a lunch meeting at Andinitas. The place is small (about 4 or 5 tables). The restaurant looks like a typical mom and pop restaurant that caters mostly to Venezuelans and Colombians. The place was nothing to be excited about, but I was looking forward to our meal. We had the chicken and beef empanada to start with and – oh boy it was so good. You have to eat it along with their homemade salsa and tomatillo dressing to truly enjoy the ‘moment’ when eating this dish. Cachapa is probably my favorite. It has a sweet corn pancake that wraps the marinated beef along with tomatoes cheese and onions. The Patacon is also worth mentioning if you like sweet plantains. Overall a good experience but was quite disappointed that I didn’t see Miss Venezuela visit the place. You know how Venezuelan women always wins the Ms Universe pageant. But their empanadas are addicting. Thumbs up!

Great Place!. Didn’t know what to expect, but my waiter was great, he helped us understand what everything was on the menu and get a feel for what we would like. This was brand new to me so it was great to have some help! Very inexpensive and very delicious!! Small and comfortable restaurant!!

Unique and tasty. First time trying Venezuelan food and it was very good. The items I had were utterly unique, yet had flavors that were familiar. I started with three Taquenos (cheese in bread – think mozzarella stick) and they were great. I absolutely loved the green salsa the Taquenos were served with – very flavorful with a nice amount of spice. Next came the Pollo Patacon. It was very good. I really enjoyed the avacado sauce as well. In fact, I had a hard time choosing which sauce I enjoyed more and tended to alternate between each with every bite. All in all, I had fun trying something new.
