Great Food Overall. My husband and I ate there for the first time today. We tried something from every station and all of it was great. The hardest part was no to over indulge! We will definitely return for another visit.
Unfortunately not a good experience this time. . .. I have been to Chow Time a number of times. The food is always good and generally fresh. The servers and staff are usually helpful. Now for my last visit (on 4/7/2015). We arrived at about 5:30pm. My son wasn’t there yet, so we paid for him and let the person at the front know that he would be joining us (there were four of us and three of us – son included – had a soda). We went to section C and had a hard time finding a table that wasn’t dirty. It wasn’t busy, so there were plenty of empty tables, but most of them were in need of being wiped off (crumbs, spills, etc). We finally found a place to sit and got started. Much of the food looked like it was still there from lunch (the macaroni and cheese was crusted over, the chicken strips were old and missing much of the breading. . .). My son arrived and didn’t have any problem at the front when he let them know that he was with us. Just after my son sat down, he asked about a drink. My wife told him know that we paid for a soda for him so he should ask the server. Well, this is where the problem started. After about 5 minutes of not seeing a server, I got up and looked for ANY server. I guess they were all on dinner break because I couldn’t find one anywhere (I looked in all the sections and they were nowhere to be found). After trying to find someone I finally went and got the drink for my son myself. I was hoping that someone would see me and say something, but they didn’t, and the server didn’t even notice that there was another drink on the table. The rest of the meal was uneventful and ok. Needless to say, we didn’t leave much of a tip (she did at least bring us napkins, but I don’t think that we are as messy as she must have thought by the amount of napkins she left).
Sales…….retired……. For about a year now a number of my friends we all meet up here for a excellent lunch. we are about 10 strong & usually get seated at one of the very large tables. The waitresses are very accommodating & super friendly. All the food is excellent & cooked to perfection. our group has expended now & more people are joining us each time. Thanks so much for a great eating establishment..
First time was great, 2nd time horrible. The first time we went, the owner’s were walking around talking to guests, the sous chef (co-owner) was monitoring the line. Food/service was excellent! Ruben cooked our steaks to order & brought them to our table. Very clean areas! However, tonight was horrible. There was nobody monitoring the line-food was less than average. Section C was filthy, to inc under the table/seats. Our server didn’t introduce herself, served cold coffee but did pull our plates & get refills. The two racks of spoons @ the soup counter were all dirty. We didn’t finish one plate, got a refund & the manager Lilly offered us 7 free passes for the next time we came in, but only if we didn’t want a refund tonight? Um…really…Not sure if we’ll ever return.
Terrible food experience. Service was awesome. . Food was disgusting, cuts of meat were horrible, chicken was fatty and vein ridden. All food in general was tasteless and dry. Dessert left little to be desired. My family and I will never eat there again. .
Terrible, over priced food with horrible service. The meat was over cooked and most of the food had been sitting out under heat lamps for far too long. We were seated at a dirty table that we had to wipe off ourselves. There was also piles of food under the table. Our drinks were not refilled most of the night while tables around us were refilled multiple times. Dirty plates were not removed either. We paid about $85 dollars for my family’s meal, I would expect better service for that price tag. With so many better choices around, we will not be returning to Chow Time. I would suggest you avoid it as well.
Really good Chinese food section. This place has such a good variety of food, the Chinese food section is so good!! It’s while worth the trip. Food and Service has been improved a ton!
