Good food, but…… I ate at El Habanero today for the first time. I work for Rio Tinto and was in the area for training at the facility just off 8400 West and about 3680 South. I ordered the chicken fajitas and they were good. However, they only gave me two SMALL tortillas, not enough for the meal. When I asked for another two which was just enough for the meal, I was charged extra for them. I have eaten in many different Mexican restaurants in Mexico when I worked for a cruise line, and never did I get less than 4 tortillas for a fajita meal.I would have returned many times, but I feel that I was ripped off. Great food or not, I will not return. There are many other fine Mexican restaurants in the valley that have very good fajitas and they give you enough tortillas for the meal without charging extra.
Amazing!!!!!. We have eaten here twice. Both times the food has come out quickly warm and tasting amazing!! The serive is exceptional! Not to mention the FRESH chips and salsa. When I say fresh, it tastes like it came right our of the garden in the back 🙂 Love love love this place!!!
Yum!. It’s no Blue or Red iguana, but sometimes that’s a good thing. Amazing hot sauce, chili verde, tortillas, red sauce, cheeses and good meats. In the 10 or so times I have eaten there, I have never received anything but 4 star service from the entire staff and a good meal. My personal favorite is the #1 which is a huge sampling of tacos, tostadas, smothered burritos etc all for about $10. Ive been reading the other comments and as the kids say, haters will be hating. You hate, I’ll eat.
I am very disappointed in the service and owner. We had a bad experience on Saturday, we had horrible service and the food was burnt too long in the deep fryer!!!!!!!! Called the owner since I thought he would like to know. When I talked to him he right off in a round about way called me a liar. Really!!!!! Bad way to start a conversation. I am beyond disappointed I have always had great service because Ingrid has been our server (if you go ask for her). I for myself will not go back. Tried to give the owner a chance to earn my business back but instead he just made it worse. Jemes the owner was as rude as Rosio the server and the food was yuck!
This place is delicious. If you want real mexican food fast, this is an awesome place to stop. The beef tacos are my favorite.
Restaurant is great. Been to El Habenero several times and always keep going back. Food is great and blended margaritas fantastic. There have been times of slow service but always great attitude and food. Only regret is that it is closed on Sunday. Prices are reasonable and food portions more than adequate. If it doesn’t work out for you the first time…give it another chance.
The best mexican food I have ever had. I love this resturant we go there as often as we can and have never had a bad meal they make thier own cips and salsa which is free as soon as you sit down; the people are all very friendly and the owner Jems comes around to make sure your food is just what you wanted. In the summer they have thier own garden in the back and grow tomatoes and herbs so everything is so so fresh. Love this place!!
