Best Mex. Finally some good chips and salsa! The whole family agreed that this place was one of the best Mexican restaurants we have tried. It’s true that the prices are more than typical Mexican cuisine, but you get what you pay for. Please try this place if you enjoy the real deal.

Good food, a bit overpriced. Good Mexican food, but I think it’s a bit overpriced. The atmosphere is nice though, and they have live music if you’re into the sort of thing.

The Real Deal. This is hands down the best Mexican food I have tasted in SLC. GREAT FLAVORS ! ! ! Don’t even bother with their Margaritas (boring, not good). Ask about their more traditional cocktails or beers.

Molcajete Supreme? Yes please! I heard of this place from my dad and a friend of mine. I had seen it in an odd location, an industrial area in West Valley, always while getting on or off the freeway. Then opportunity knocked. Last Wednesday, I took my dad and sister there, since they were broadcasting the Real Salt Lake game. The atmosphere was great, the service impecable, and the Molcajete Supreme… Tantalizing! It surpassed my expectations and left me giddy with delight. But don’t take my word for it, go experience it yourself, have a good time and tip them well! It’s worth it!

I love El Paisa!. A little off the beaten path, but well worth the travel for an authentic meal. The Molcajete Supreme is sumptuous and was more than enough for the 4 in our party as an appetizer. Another favorite of mine, the cheese enchiladas and the wide selection of Mexican beers they have available. The wait staff has always been friendly and it’s quite a lively place when the mariachi band is playing. When you go, plan on taking your time and soaking up the atmosphere.

About Time!. I have driven past this place at least twice a day for years, and today was the first time I stopped in for lunch.I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the decor was very cool. The paintings, stone & brick textured walls, and a stage for live music all made the place a pretty cool place. The food was a pleasant surprise! They have a list of $8.00 lunch specials, so I went with one of those. I had the Smothered Chile verde burrito 7 taco combo. The meat was EXTREMELY tender, and had a great flavor. The portions were really big as well. It was well worth the money. The only gripe I could come up with would have been the service. Don’t get me wrong, they were nice… and I am not sure if they were just really busy with a birthday party that came in, or if they forgot me since I was a solo party. But they never checked in on me, and took a while to get me my bill once I was finished with my meal. But all in all, I liked this place, and I will go back to try some of thier other specials.
