If I’m being completely honest, I was headed to a different restaurant when I decided to pull in to Scaddy’s instead. I was in the market for a shake, and I must say, it was the best detour decision I’ve made, ever. They make the absolute best shakes I’ve ever had. Better than Iceberg, Arctic Circle, Sonic. I’ve been here for food before, but this was the first time I’ve tried a shake from them, and it was amazing 🙂
My favorite place for burgers bar none. Wayne always makes them fresh and hot. Highly recommended!
Awesome Burgers!! The Scaddy burger is so good. Fresh homemade bun, seasoned hamburger with a nice thick slice of cheddar with the crisp lettuce, tomatoe, and pickles make this one of the best tasting burgers in town.
Great burgers. The Wayne burger is my favorite burger right now; I’d take it over any of the other burger places – 5 Guys, In-n-Out, Crown, Smashburger, Buster…any of ’em.They make burgers how I like them. Big, substantial bun, thin patty, lots of cheese, bacon cooked just right, and flavorful condiments, not just stuff added on for form’s sake.The halibut fish is also excellent. Light, crispy batter on large filets.The fries are good, not great. I prefer the fries elsewhere, but they’re still good enough to make me happy.Service is excellent. I’ve always had the impression that the owner is really committed to running a tight ship and providing a quality product.The only issue I have with Scaddy’s is that it does seem a bit inconsistent location to location. The original Salt Lake location is always excellent, but the Lehi location just isn’t consistently as good for some reason.
Too expensive for what you get, won’t be back.. We went to lunch today (only because they stopped by and dropped off coupons and brochures). We had a buy one, get one free coupon. We wanted the hamburger, fries and drink combo. But they would only do the coupon on the hamburger, they said the fries and drink are seperate….. $8 for a hamburger and $3 for fries and drink. Not worth it! I can get the same quality and any other fast food resturant, and can get a better value at Red Robin. Won’t be back, even if we get another coupon.Customer service was good, and the place was clean.
Try the Wayne Burger with cheese fries
Worth the drive…. My husband and I LOVE Scaddy’s! We live in Ogden but frequently drive down to SLC just to enjoy the delicious food here. My husband’s favorite is the Wayne Burger… double meat, three slices of cheese, and bacon? You can’t go wrong! I’m a Mushroom Swiss Burger lover myself, the mushrooms are flavorful and cooked to the perfect texture. The fries are superb, the right combination of crispy and tender. Make sure you try them with Scaddy’s sauce, you won’t be disappointed. There are only three things I dislike about Scaddy’s. One, I wish the buns were more sturdy; they have a hard time holding together with all the sauce and juicy meat. Two, I wish they used fresh fruit in their shakes instead of syrup. And three, I wish I didn’t have to drive 30 miles to get my fix! 🙂
