Horrible service. We ordered our food just behind another couple and our food was ready before theirs. The female employee called something in Spanish to say an order was ready which neither me and my husband or the other couple understood. Assuming their food would be done first they went and picked up the order and started eating when they realized it was the wrong order and took it back to the counter. The female employee then called us over to get our food, expecting us to take the food the other couple had began eating. We told her we would not eat food that someone else had started eating. She just looked at us not even realizing that what she was doing was wrong. If they are willing to give food to customers that has already been eaten by another customer, what else are they capable of. Very disgusted by this establishment.

Good food. This place is dirty n stuff but it has a lot of clients, that tells you that it’s a good place when it’s full of people of all different races and backgrounds. The Food is Authentic and fair priced. The owner’s are very nice people and it’s family run. When in the mood for good Authentic Mexican food at a low price, this is the place! Good Taste!
Filthy Floors, Fresh Food. Ya this little dump is nasty. I walk in and I start to wonder if my food will give me poisoning just from coming in contact with the air. But honestly, it does not even matter once you get the food. It’s excellent! It’s like street car to the next level. The ceviche is my favorite by far. It comes in a huge goblet and the shrimp is always fresh and crisp. The carne asada and lengua are my favorite tacos. The lengua here is juicy and chewy – as it should be – and they top the tacos with fresh onions, cilantro, lettuce and lime and the flavors burst together in your mouth. The last time I ate here I had to buy extra tacos because it is so cheap that my meal didn’t quite reach the required amount if a debit/credit card was going to be used. Dirty place + incredible Mexican + cheap as hell prices = Taqueria El Rey De Oros
Good hidden place!. This place is a guilty pleasure of mine. Not only can you get a good sized meal for cheaper than anywhere else around, but the food is REALLY GOOD! Very authentic mexican food. I have had most everything on the menu and have never been dissapointed. If you are looking for a cheap lunch, where you would gladly pay 3 times the price for the quality… check this place out!
El Rey Delicious and Fair priced. I used to frequent El Rey’s when I worked near by, now I will hit it once every couple of months. I have no complaints- I wouldn’t say it is dirty, but it isn’t always tidy. You will encounter some lettuce shreds or other garnishes/ toppings that have fell to the floor or seat, but nothing that would thwart your appetite. Their combos range from 2.99 – 8.99 but it is not hard to leave satisfied for under 5 dollars. Very tasty street style tacos. I also really like their sopas and tostadas. Very pescetarian friendly (great affordable seafood options).If you are into good Mexican food fast, pass by the plethora of Beto’s chains and try something new and a little more authentic.Word.
Clean ever?. I’ve never been to a dirtier place. Ever. Good authentic Mexican food, but take it to go. I just can’t recommend a place that doesn’t have enough pride to mop once in a while.
