The best Kung Pow I’ve ever had !!
I like it.. Most chow mein dishes have no flavor. this dish was well seasoned and the char chiu was fresh and tender. Most char chiu is dry and jerky like. I can’t wait to go back.
Great Chinese food. Will challenge any restaurant in the San Francisco area.
Hit and miss…I like it but barely. They serve both Americanized and authentic Chinese dishes here, and while their Americanized dishes are one-dimensional and not all that good, their authentic dishes are much better. Try their Szechuan Beef — just hot and spicy enough and very well cooked. Service can be a bit strange here, though timely. I was annoyed that their small soups are not served on the weekends. Why? I don’t want a large soup. They talked in circles and did me no favors. It was a bit off-putting. Service could be friendlier.
Too authentic?. It’s been my experience that when a restaurant, for example Chinese, is packed with Asian people, it might be a little too authentic. I personally enjoy a more Americanized version of Chinese food. That may sound lame but I know what I like and what I don’t. Very rarely will not finish my food and just dump it in the garbage. That’s what I did in this occasion. I just could not stomach it.
