Unfortunately for me, every year on memorial day and labor day I am dragged to this place to humor my grandpartents who have been traditionally coming here for many years. This place is the worst. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Not only is the service rude, but slow as molasses and the food is horrible. Every year same thing. For instance today we ordered 4 cold plates and just soups for hots. It took over 45 minutes and the food came out cold.. every year, same thing same excuses. Would absolutely not recommend.
Bennington’s Best Kept Secret!. We usually eat downtown when traveling through Bennington, but a friend of ours recommended that we try the Grille for change. We were reluctant at first, because it was a Country Club, and we were casually dressed, but when we called, the pleasant voice that answered the phone assured us that casual attire was more than welcome. It took us a minute to locate the Grille, because it is on a side street, parallel to the main street, which made us glad we took the extra step to call and get directions. We chose patio seating, which we found to be amazing, with incredible views of the mountains and the Bennington Monument. Our server was pleasant, and suggested a couple of popular menu items to try. I was also impressed with the extensive wine list offering. Our overall experience was very positive and relaxing. Even though the restaurant was busy, we did not feel rushed, and our meal was excellent! The entrees were of generous portions, and made with fresh ingredients. We look forward to Winter dining at the Grille, because I noticed there were two dining rooms both with real wood fireplaces! A worthwhile trip down a back road! Good price, great service, excellent food! We’ll definitely be back!

I have been attending school in Bennington for the last four years and it was not until now that I stumbled across the Mt. Anthony Country Club. I had just never realized that it was open to the public and had a restaurant. it is unfortunate that I hadn’t experienced it before, but am so glad that I have now. It has become one of my favorite choices to eat out and the golf course is a very nice getaway from everything. It’s Delicious and fun!!!
Vegan Friendly?. I have not been here but will be visiting Bennington in December. I was browsing looking for Vegan Friendly restaurants in Bennington and you said The Grille at Mount Anthony Country Club was vegan friendly. You guys need to check the dinner menu again. There is nothing vegan friendly about any of their meals. Everything, including the pasta dishes, include meat. Not one single entree is without meat or cheese.
THursday Night PASTA NIGHT. THe best pasta buffet ever!!! You come in and sit where ever you want or be seated by a host, and you get menu and you all you hear is pasta night all you can eat buffet. YOu say you want that casue you do and it you go and right infront of your eyes The chef coks chicken, seafood, or beef. A white or red sauce, lots of extras; such as peppers onions bacon pesto and more. He cooks it right in front of you takes maybe five minutes and you are back at your table eating all the pasta and bread you want. Also, if and when you go back for more you can get something totally different you can mix and match anything you want!!! It is delicious!!
