The Planet does it all and does it well. The Planet is a fun place to be any time. I’ve been there for lunches, business dinners, parties, dates, and just plain drinkin’. The menu scales up or down to you appetite. I’ve eaten here many times over the years and I’m always impressed. You can have anything from tapas to sandwiches to fine dining options and they’re all good. Sit in the dining room for a quiet fine dining experience or at the bar for a more lively, casual atmosphere. Let the tourists go to Leunig’s and Sweetwaters. The Planet is one of the best places to be in Burlington for real atmosphere and tasty food.

If you don’t like your job, find a new one.. I visited the Daily Planet on a Saturday evening around 10 or 11pm. A small group of us sat at a table. We were greeted by a server, drink service was slow but it was Saturday night and busy. Two of the people in our party had to depart early and asked to pay there portion of the bill, the server acted annoyed and was very impolite.I felt she could have explained their check policy in a way that wasn’t so discourteous. The drink service got even slower, 20 minutes for a Switchback??? We went to the bar to get one and asked if it could be added to our tab, the bar tender was rude and hotheaded. I have never been treated in such a manner anywhere. I asked for our check and we departed. We had planned to hang there for most of the evening, but not after that. We are cordial patrons and low maintenance .I will not return to the Daily Planet, I can spend my $35 elsewhere.
Great and Quaint!. A hush eatery, funky bar and chic solarium right downtown in Burlington, VT. They give you the choice: let orb lamps and celestial surroundings illuminate your fresh-tap brew, go for stargazing au natural at outdoor sidewalk tables or from the indoor solarium, retreat into the dining room for a more private, romantic evening. A spectacular selection of Appetizers, Salads and Entree’s are offered along side, what seems like an endless offering of Wine, Brews and Specialty Drinks. Oh, don’t miss Dessert! They offer a delectable selection from Lavender Crme Brule to a Grand Sundae! The food itself is excellent! The quality and quantity served far exceeds the reasonable prices and the selection on the menu is guaranteed to satisfy all. There are almost too many really neat dishes to choose from! So, sit down, order a glass of wine and take the time to read through the menu so you don’t miss anything! This will give you time to figure out what you order on your next visit! I’m ordering the Piri-piri Grilled Crab on our next visit or maybe the Apple Brandy Pork Chops. See what I mean?My wife and I just Love this Restaurant! It’s a fun place to meet friends, have a gathering for a special event in the indoor solarium or a romantic dinner for two! Ok, we’re headed back real soon! Can’t wait..
