Nice place to eat and drink local beer. Ate there twice. Burgers are excellent and you can get a huge salad as a side . Very fresh. My wife had the salmon and was happy with the accutriments . The mussels were unusual and very good. Charizo suasage with the mussels, but not real spicy . Good Vermont beer selection…
Very delicious. Everyone in my 5 person party was very happy with what they picked for dinner. I had the burger and it was so fresh and juicy. Love the pickled onions!
We had read so many raving recommendations for this restaurant and so we were quite disappointed in the reality. Naturally expected the mac and vermont cheese to be out of this world and it was not memorable. We are from a major metropolitan area and were nevertheless shocked by the prices: $23 for Bourbon Farm Chicken. The dish consists of one chicken leg (drumstick) and baked beans. When we questioned the portion, the waiter did immediately bring two more legs. Tasty but ridiculously portioned for the price. That’s a $200 chicken, I guess. The Nitty Gritty Corn Cakes entree is more like a small plate. We probably won’t be going back, which is a shame because the beer is good and the atmosphere very pleasant.
Cold tomato soup was awesome. So was the cheese board and the beat and berries was delicious. A little in the pricey side but worth it. Would come back for sure.
Excellent meal, great beer selection. Seating is comfortable and service was good. Definitely merits a return trip. When crowded, can be noisy.
Not good. Ordered the schnitzel. It was sliced too thinly, it was underseasoned and overcooked. At $25, it was absurd. I told the waiter with the speed that it came out that it appeared it had been precooked and reheated. Blech. They comp’ed it but really? Also at one point I put I my fork down and someone was at my shoulder asking if I was done? Wow. Quite the relaxing dining experience …not. The folks on the right and left of me seemed to enjoy their burgers(actually I know the enjoyed them since the tables are close together and the restaurant is really noisy so I could hear.). If I was being generous I would give this a 2 out of 10.
Terrific all around! The service was wonderful, as was the atmosphere and ambiance. The hostess took my coat upon arrival and I sat at the bar for lunch. I ordered the Vermont cheddar soup (with potato and leek) which was outstanding!!!!!! The lunch special came with perfectly toasted bread with herbs and drizzled with olive oil. The dressed greens salad was delightfully fresh and tossed in a light dressing. I ordered the house red wine which was a nice compliment on a lovely meal. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone passing through Burlington!!!!
