Pricey, but CREATIVE and AMAZING.. I have lived in this area for 22 years and this pizzeria has proved to exceed ALL my expectations for casual, yet creative dining. My 17 year old went here first, with her grandma. She was dragged there with bribes and guilt, and came home RAVING about the experience! My husband and I visited yesterday and were so impressed, I just HAD to write about it. The pizza dough is amazing. The ingredients are special, many local. Have you had pizza with wild mushrooms and truffle oil? Homemade sausage and cheseses? They prepare the dough well in advance, not sure why, but it’s better. The toppings are local, creative, fresh, innovative and just plain delicious. We were seated at 5:09 pm, just after it opened and the place was filled by 6pm. So, if you can get there early, do it. Or see if you can reserve table. You can choose from a traditional table, fresh brews, nice atmosphere… or you can sit a the bar area and watch them assemble the pizzas, an activity I would highly recommend with children who might be engaged by it. My suggestion? Order two unique salads (they are totally innovative) and split a pizza. You will be talking about this place to everyone!
They Didn’t Designate Wait Staff for our Table. We visited this place with some friends. The four of us sat at the table for 45 minutes, no one took our order. I got up and went to speak with the hostess. They looked like deer in head lights, apologized and sent someone over. The pizza was very good and they gave us a dessert to make up for being forgotten. I am not eager to go here again because of the unorganized service.
Amazing pizza! Have been looking for a great pizza place in the burlington area and I think I have found it! The Butternut squash pizza on the specials menu was so good! Definitely make sure you call ahead, we waited almost two hours for a table. Don’t regret it at all though.
Great. Everything.
Treated Like VIPs!. We called ahead b/c we had 2 anxious young kids and were on a tight time frame. They had a table ready for us, had our pizzas in the oven, had beer and wine on the table almost before we could form the words to ask. An ice pack for a scraped knee and a free mini-slice of pizza that was less than perfect when it came out of the oven! Very kid-friendly (kids love to watch the open kitchen). A great experience from beginning to end!
A Slice of Heaven. Verita is a treasure. I dined their twice while visiting from NYC in July. The food and service were outstanding, and the energy is amazing. I’ve never tasted pizza quite so wonderful, from the basic margarita, to the more exotic toppings (salmon is insanely delicious). The salads and antipasto offerings are great for a lighter nosh, and the wine pairings are great too.
Almost the best. Enjoyed both the gluten free and regular pizza. Love wood fired pizzas and this didn’t disappoint. My wife’s gluten free crust was a hand rolled on premises, not pre-made. To the owners if you read this keep this up it was the best pizza crust she has ever had.
