A very good spot for outdoor seating. I’ve been here two times, both the times with colleagues and it’s an excellent setting for both casual and professional meetups. The food is awesome as well; decent portions for the price. I would definitely recommend this place for a vegetarian as well since they do have a lot of options without meat.
Awesome spot for breakfast and lunch. The variety of crepes, both sweet and savory, inspired us to return multiple times. Group favorite Crepe Monsieur.
We had brunch at the Skinny Pancake and it was delish! Everything is so fresh and so Vermont. The servers are very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our meal outside…..lovely. I think I had forgotten how genuine fresh eggs taste, but now I remember. And the crepes are to die for. This restaurant is a must stop when visiting Burlington
This place was so-so. I had the chop salad. Nothing more or less than I expected. The bacon was really good. I also tried the skinny salad, veggie monster crepe and another crepe that was not memorable. They were all just ok. The location is nice, but the service is kind of annoying. If I’m ordering at the counter, getting my own water, and seating myself, nobody is getting a 20% tip. I’ll give you a buck for bussing my table. The bathroom is far away and you have to ask the store clerk for a code to get in. There are better and worse options in Burlington.
Vermont Hippy Charming and Decent Food. The Skinny is a nice casual dining place located right near the waterfront. Their outdoor seating has views of the gorgeous Adirondack mountains. They have a long list of creative and tasty crepes. The food is consistently good although the crepes can be a little on the dry side for my taste so I request extra sauce of whatever is in my crepe. They have excellent vegan and vegetarian options. If you come here at lunch or on the weekend for breakfast the line is out the door so come earlier or later than the usual time for those gatherings. The decor is rustic Vermont and they usually have a good show of local art on the walls. Another thing I like is that they source as much of their ingredients as they can from Vermont. If you are from out of state, this is a good local hangout to check out. I recommend going for a walk along the waterfront after you eat here. Lastly the staff is friendly and hippy chill in how they do things, so if you are uptight or in a huge hurry, you might want to skip this place.
Huge Disappointment. The food was not very good, definitely not worth the walk down the hill. It’s not awful which is the best thing this place has going. I found the service to be a healthy mix of pretentious and smarmy. That is the real red flag here. I don’t expect a culinary miracle every time I eat out but I do expect to be treated like the staff is glad that I came.
Long Wait is Worth It. Set aside a chunk of time when you come to The Skinny Pancake. This is one of my fave restaurants and I really like the VT apple & cheese crepe. Also, if you want water, you’ll have to get it for yourself but that’s cool.
