Uncle Tonys No More!. Seriously?? We had stopped ordering for awhile because the last few pizzas have arrived all soggy. I order a pizza tonight and the owner himself takes the order. I ask for double cheese, ground beef and bacon. We get the pizza with double cheese, bacon and randomly placed super thin SLICED ROAST BEEF all dried up because of course thats what will happen if you put that on a pizza. It was soggy and disgusting. We are all DONE.16 Mar, 2013Pizaa tonight just so-so. We order every Friday night but this one not so good very cold 🙁
Unle Tony’s Is Tops!. You have to look for it because it wont see it from the road. Its next to Lees Chinese on Dorset or just past Van Phan Billiards on San Remo if you come that way. Uncle Tonys is well worth the effort to find. They offer what I consider what the best pizza in South Burlington is and can easily go head to head with other pizza places, even those wood fired establishments in Chittenden County. First the crust. Not too thick, not to thin, it is just right. Its got flavor and is cooked evenly. You wont find any soft spots on their crust. Next the toppings. Whatever you like on your pie youll get plenty of it here. The Italian word abbondanza immediately comes to mind. It reminded me of years ago when Pi Express operated in Essex Junction. At the end of the night, staff there would make crew pies for themselves and there were no weighing or portion packs for toppings. Uncle Tonys is a to-go operation only. Even the staffs that I interacted with were both respectful and courteous. After placing an on-line order (yes, they do that too!) I arrived several minutes early for pick up. After paying, the counter person said that she had just put my pie in. As it would take several minutes to cook she offered to bring my order out to the car. In addition to pizza, Uncle Tonys offers pasta, desserts and canned soda. They are located at 360 Dorset Street and open at 3:30 PM.

Don’t waste your money…. I had high hopes for Uncle Tony’s as it is close to home. Unfortunately the food did not live up to our expectations.The large pizza was nearly tasteless. It was light on the cheese, we could not taste the red sauce at all and the crust was beyond tough.I don’t understand the purpose of all the corn meal on the bottom of the pizza. It certainly doesn’t add to the taste. The lettuce in the Greek salad was wet, the sliced black olives were canned, and the roasted peppers tasted like they came from a jar. Not good when other takeouts in the area are using fresh ingredients. Disappointing…we won’t be returning.
This is the best S.Burl pizza bar none. Leonardos zaccarys and especially dominos cannot hold a candle to unc tonys. I would eat it every day if I could.

Bad. Worst pizzas and wings! Might as well go to Dominoes, its pretty much the same old. I wouldn’t be recommending this place to any of my friends, family or travelers.
