Outstanding!. My wife took me out to The Bistro at 10 Acres last night for my birthday. We did not make reservations (which we probably should have being a Saturday), so when we walked in and asked for a table 7ish the bar was the only option. My wife and I were psyched there was space and just started chatting with the bartender. Super friendly folks, and turned out one of them was one of the owners. We began with drinks- great Scotch selection and even better wine selection. There are not too many places around VT where you can score a great Pinot Noir from Anderson Valley, CA or with Opus 1 on the list. Needless to say, we enjoyed the libations. The food came next, and we went for a seafood trip starting with oysters on the half shell and the fresh mussels app. Both were outstanding, but the mussels were huge, tender and I couldn’t stop dipping the fresh bread in the spicy garlic broth. Simply awesome. For the main dishes, my wife had the seafood stew and I had the seared lobster with tarragon polenta. Again, both brilliant, but the lobster was cooked perfectly and the tarragon polenta was the perfect compliment. To top it off, the owner comped me a bday dessert, I went with the chocolate pecan pie. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. This place is the real deal, my wife and I will certainly be back. Thanks to all the folks at 10 Acres. Awesome!
