Fantastic!. Stopped off here for late dinner before heading to Monticello next day. Wonderful staff, extensive menu and great food. We got there 20 minutes before close and all menu items were offered. Can’t say enough about this place. Large, clean and convenient!
Dont let these others fool you. This resturant is great! I see some other reviews on here that are bashing and they say the service is bad and the food is poor quality. They are totally wrong, the service and waitstaff is great and the food is wonderful. My family and I eat here often. I reccomend this to anyone.
Here is a balanced review of the Tip Top…It is a decent neighborhood restaurant with a darn good breakfast. The lunch/ dinner menu is ambitious so it may be hit or miss. If your style is hipster breakfast (organic huevos rancheros with whole wheat pancakes) you will be disappointed. But for a real good basic breakfast with NO frills – this is the place to go. My meal is two eggs fried over hard with cornbeef hash and a tomato. It’s perfect every time. Don’t believe the reviews about the bad service. These are hard working older ladies with names like Gladys and they don’t give a sh*t about Urbanapoon. But they will call you Hun and get those extra napkins to you eventually. Just chill.
Diner eating at it’s best. Kids love the waffles. Your cardiologist will hate the corn cakes, but love the egg-white omlettes. Service is good, but sadly quieter since the legendary Miss Piggy left.
Great food. This restaurant is great. i have eaten there for my whole life and i have never had a bad experience. i would recommend it to anyone.

Overrated to the max!. Simply cannot understand why this place is always so busy. The service is severely deficient, no refills, we saw the waitress 3 times, when we ordered, when she brought the food, and when she brought the check. And the food, while adequate, is simply nothing special, can get much better at other places with a similar menu. will not go back
