This is a good place to go to if you are visiting Alexandria! Fancy and cozy atmosphere, but the place is a bit tight. Food tastes amazing and the plates are so appetizing! However, portions are a bit small and the prices a little over average.
I first discovered Brabo Tasting Room while waiting for an Amtrak train at the King St station. I had time to kill, but didn’t want to venture too far when I found it. The small menu was just what I was looking for – limited choices done very well. Brabo reminded me of a small European country restaurant, where the chef decides the menu based on the available ingredients. I recommend any of the tarts cooked in their open flame oven and the five onion soup is unique and delicious. I like high gravity Belgian ales and they have never disappointed. I’ve always found their beer selection excellent. Now that I live in the area I’ve come back a few times. Highly recommend it.
