Awesome pizza and salad bar. We were visiting from Orlando and this place beats anything we have down there. At $7.45 for an all you can eat pizza and salad bar how can anyone rate this less than 4 stars? Nice and clean, very friendly and attentive staff, and the pizza is hot, cheesy and full of flavor. Anyone who says it tastes like chain food is full of baloney. I know my wife would eat here every week if she lived here and she’s very picky about pizza. I wish I could talk about other menus items, but we all got the buffet, even me, and I almost always order off menus. I just couldn’t pass up the price of the buffet, and the pizza just looked too cheesy to pas up. I made a good choice though.

Like a 3rd Line Right Winger. Competent, but not amazing. Bugsy’s is a cool little place down on near the Alexandra Waterfront that follows the pattern of several restaurants down there. Standard seated dining downstairs and a bar/club upstairs. I didn’t really experience the bar aspect, but it seems to have the basics: TV’s, draft beer, and bar food staples. They do have a rather impressive amount of sports memorabilia with a strong hockey presence. I experienced the restaurant side of the operation and it was decent enough. I took a date and we got two small pan pizzas and split a Caesar salad. The salad was huge and fresh with a ton of cheese. The dressing was decent and not over-applied, but was obviously a store or supplied standard. Truth be told, I wouldn’t really expect a sports bar to make their own dressing so it was pretty good salad considering the circumstances. For the main event, the pizza’s came out in their pans and were a really good size for a small. So many places don’t do pizzas in smaller sizes. This creates a challenge for oddities like myself (allergic to tomatoes) or ruins friendships over topping disputes when the only size options are manhole cover or larger. Bugsy’s small is just right for a person with a big appetite. The crust is has a thick doughiness that comes across like good dense bread. There is less butter or oil applied than other deep dish joints I’ve encountered and I know that would garner many people’s favor. The cheese and toppings were competent and applied in proper portions. Nothing AH-ma-zing, but not offensive. My date and I both agreed that it was good, but not spectacular. There is better deep dish in DC, and there is better pizza right across the street at Paradiso, but if you are doing a sporting event bar bash or taking the little league team out after a game Bugsy’s will get the job done.

I love this place. Bugsy’s serves terrific Chicago-style pizza. It is extra-thick, slightly on the sweet side, generous with the sauce, with a variety of fresh toppings. This was once a branch of the legendary Armand’s local chain that went indepedent, and it still serves pizza that is basically like Armand’s. I am from Washington, now living elsewhere, but whenever I am in the area my first priority is to hit the lunch buffet of all-you-can-eat deep dish. I miss the place. Not the thing if you are trying to lose weight, obviously, but simply excellent pizza.

The four of us ordered wings and a large cheese pizza. The wings had a different taste to them, different as in good, The pizza reminded me of a deep dish Chicago style pizza. The place was a bit cramped but the food made up for it. Dinner for four…less than $30.00 fricksworld.blogspot.com

Poor customer service. Extremely rude! I would never go there again. I emailed the owner about our horrible experience, and he never responded, so obviously customer service is not important to them.

Sports Bar Upstairs. Spent a few days in Alexandria. This sports bar was a nice stop for a quick beer and snack. Had both the bruschetta which was loaded with good toppings and the onion skins which was really good because they were meaty on the inside, crisp on the skin side, and not greasy.

Yummy!. Our flight was late night, my children said the food was worth the wait. Our pizza was soooooooooooo good, even as leftovers the next morning! Cant wait to return
