Food is good service is attrocious. A travel to the DC area for 3 weeks at a time and usually stay close to the Hoffman area so I eat at Delia’s several times a month. The food is consistently good but after my last visit I won’t be back. I went on a Sat night and it was busy so I knew I would have to wait. I checked in with the hostess who did not want to put me on the wait list as I was a party of one. A couple came in several minutes behind me an where put on the list. 5 minutes later the hostess seated them at a table for 2. When I asked why I wasn’t seated first I was told because the table in the corner she wanted to put me at was still in use. Then about 10 minutes later a party of 5 came in and she offered them a booth that just became open. I guess Delia’s does not need the business of single people so this business traveler will not be back.

Not enough positives. Good news is they have excellent fried calimari. I am so tired of this dish because so many places serve poor quality but here it is very good.Downside… entrees were really average and at $60 per couple not worth a return. Gnocchi was forgettable. They use a lot of grape tomato that tasted like they were frozen but I was told they peel them and then marinade them. Well, it wasnt worth the effort. Swordfish was over cooked. Pizza was average. If you want to enjoy a quick mean before the movies, I would suggest the Bistro next door.

I came to delias after hearing about the great praises it received about its peruvian menu and i must say, I was DISAPPOINTED. I ordered the seco norteno, being a peruvian myself i am very familiar with the dish ( I eat it at least once every 2 months as it is a hard dish to prepare, time wise) and EVERYTHING about the dish was wrong. The dish uses white rice with canary beans. This came with black beans and yellow rice. This would’ve been fine if i wanted cuban food. And then the lamb…It was a cheap cut, WAY too much seasoning to the point where it actually takes away the flavor, so much onions to make the.entire restaurant cry, and enough oil to run a kfc for a week. They try to mask all of this by giving you a portion the size to feed a quarter of africa… Too bad really since the dish is inedible…. Steer away from this place.

Friendly. This place is a bit of an odd mixture, looking like a modern dinner with classic booths, a menu strongly pushing the pizza options, and a very eclectic drinks list. Ive got to say it worked for me. Pizzas were original, the Diavolo tasted way better than it looked: chorizo sausage, French fries(!) and runny egg, what an unexpected yet delicious combination; the Classico was also anything but classic Italian pizza, great tasting and both with an excellent chewy base. Good desserts too, my Limoncello was light and refreshing and the Chocolate Molten Cake had the required decadent melted centre. As for drinks I found this unusual English Cherry flavoured Ale. Not as good as a Belgium Kriek, but close enough. And full mark to the restaurant manager for his friendliness.

Horrible Hostess!!. I work around the area and I go there very regularly for co-workers lunches. I am never picky and the expirence has to be really terrible that I would take time to complain. The past three times I have been there, the hostess was rude, impolite and has no idea what customer service is.No hi, no smile, bad attitude when we requested a booth, and twice she was on the phone and we stood there never acknowledged, the second time we took the menu ourselves and sat at the nearest table. We only have a certain time that we can be out for lunch while on work schedule. When we complained to the waiter, she came over and never looked straight at us, she just mumbled that she was sorry that she was on the phone but we should have waited to be seated!!!!!!! Talk about classless old women.I came back to the office and wrote this review without forgetting to send a group email to my whole department to find a better place where we can feel welcome and be happy to spend our money and time.I would be very worried if I was the owner with the competition around and the amount of business that I am about to loose having such a hostess. Our company is huge and words spreads easily when bad experiences repeat.

Never disappointed!. This place is still just as great as I remember the original place in Springfield, from the 1980’s. The gyro is / always has been my favorite meal at this place. Service was fantastic, food was great! Love it!
