Disappointed, overated. Based on recommendations from Washingtonian, I tried the Codwich sandwich, turned out to be a very bad experience, it tasted like store bought frozen cod fish. the others sides just as disappointing – cold slaw was bitter, and the donuts were over cooked, the worst $30 spent.

Had great lunch there today. Went on the recommendation of Washingtonian magazine cheap eats. Thick pieces of fresh fish and really good thick fries. 2 orders and a beer for $25. I would go back.

Food ok bad hospitality. Being 100% Irish and a good judge of fish and chips I decided we needed to try Eamonn’s so my husband and I and our two kids ate there this evening, food ok a little steep on the price, not alot of seating and the guy behind the counter was not the nicest of people, not a very good person to have working in an Irish fish and chip place as Irish people are known world wide for their hospitatlity, but this guy would not know hospitality if it jumped up and hit him in the face. I had ordered the kids fish and cone meal, which is fish and chips and includes the 99 cone, but he informed me that the cone machine was not up and running yet so when I asked if I could replace it with something else like some chocolate it was like I was asking him to hand over all the money in the till. Would not return

The best fish and chips I’ve ever had but you’ll have to wait to get a seat. Worth the wait though or ask to join somebody that looks friendly.

Why is it so hard to find good Irish/british style fish and chips? Guess what, this is pretty close. Thick chunks of fish and good batter. However I ordered the ray and it tasted like windex there was so much ammonia in the meat. Yuck – o. They replaced it without charge but i am wary now. So much potential….

True Fish & Chips. I love authentic fish & chips, so I had to give this place a try. The cod is absolutely authentic, and the chips do not come any better and are hand cut on the spot! Add in all of the original sauces (made at the restaurant also), and you have a winning combination. The fish is well battered and is ever so moist. The setting is a corner pub on King Street, so it truly adds to the atmosphere. The only downfall is that the price is quite steep for the amount of food. I would not go out of my way to eat there, but I would certainly stop in if I was in the neighborhood.

Okay but nothing earth shattering. I might go if someone really wanted to but I doubt I’d choose to go myself. I had the cod with the Marie Rose sauce and it was fine. More impressive was their selection of candies and sodas.
