Max and I decided to take a pit stop for coffee on our weekly trip to Tar-jey (Target) and wound up at Swings Coffee Roasters in Alexandria. It was a quaint shop with a nice open plan. It was spacious so you could really sit and enjoy your time there without feeling overcrowded.Max ordered a Mocha with espresso and I got a standard iced coffee. The coffee was rich and flavorful, poured over ice in a mason jar with a handle. Much or the furniture and decor was made from repurposed objects, and overall the place had a cute rustic atmosphere – so the mason jar fit right in. Often times it’s the little touches that make a coffee special. Max’s Mocha came with a cute little cream heart design and the cup came with a saucer.It’s been a pleasant day relaxing and roaming around town for some good food and great coffee. If you’re looking for a quiet place to relax, read, or get some work done – I would definitely recommend Swings Coffee Roasters in Alexandria.
