Not for Everyone. My wife and I went here on our anniversary and talked for 3 hours while sipping on 7 or 8 of the best cocktails I’ve ever had in my life. Yes, it is jacket required for men. No, there is really no food to speak of, but it is a rather incredible experience. The ambiance is amazing and the drinks even more so. Not everyone wants to pay $15 for a great drink, but if you have an adventurous pallet, you’ll enjoy Todd Thrasher’s constantly changing menu. Quite simply, he approaches a drink like a chef, not a bartender and that care shows.
Overpriced, over-rated. First of all, it takes a good deal of effort to track down the reservations info and then get any sort of reservation for a small party (of 6). Lots of back and forth emails with some phantom person. We got put in a small room at the front of the 2nd floor. To one side of the bar area. It was very dark and noisy. We had odd seating – uncomfortable sofas, etc. No place to put drinks or food. The only food options are from Eammon’s downstairs – which are quite tasty, but definitely limited. The bar menu is certainly exotic, but almost too much so. And the prices are INSANE. Certainly more than they deserve. Overall – a fun idea, but an utter disappointment.
Fantastic, high-end drinks. Classy, calm atmosphere. Want cheap booze and rowdy patrons? Look elsewhere.
