Was Christmas Eve. My husband n I weren’t sure what we wanted to do. We were contemplating on whether to go into this Greek restaurant or not and a couple passing by insisted on telling us that the food is excellent n we shd try it. M glad we got in. The food seemed authentic. The coriander flavored Olive oil was delicious. We ordered for everything vegetarian and it was a treat! Lovely food. Liked the elegant ambience too. The red poinsettias looked so good against the white walls. M glad we came in. Had a great dinner!
Being Greek we were excited to find and were looking forward to this experience in Alexandria. It became evident that the only concern on their end was money. To begin with we asked for and ice tea and a water and 2 iced teas were brought and we were charged for both. Then 2 appetizer items came out that we did not order and were not able to eat with diet restrictions and we were charged for both. At the end we were brought dessert that we did not order and they refused to take it off the bill insisting that we ordered it. This simple lunch exceeded $50 when all was said and done for mediocre food. The staff was unaccommodating and it was overwhelmingly clear that getting our money was the only concern. This experience literally left a bad taste in our mouth and is a blemish on what was otherwise a great visit to Old Town Alexandria. We left and never looked back.
