Awful experience. Made a reservation on Father’s Day and then called one week before to confirm the reservation. When we showed up they gave away our reservation. The restaurant was full of angry and frustrated patrons.

To make a really long story short, a group of friends and I attended this restaurant on Sunday December 20, 2015 for a birthday brunch. While my friends on time, I arrived a little late but was informed by my friend that they had been seated at a table in the back of the restaurant. Upon my arrival, I spoke to the host and let him know that my friend had informed me where their table was located. The host looked at me and stated with conviction that my friends were, in fact, seated upstairs. I informed the host that my friends noted they were seated in the back and he assured me, after looking me up and down, that my friends were seated upstairs. I proceeded to go upstairs to find my table and noticed that the table the host referred me to what was the only table on the floor with an all-Black party. I am a Black woman, so I am of course offended. How very dare you make that assumption. It’s not you’re job to make that assumption about me. The simple solution would have been to ask me the party’s name and seat me that way. After this incident, I was turned off completely by the service and lack of regard. My friend attempted to speak with the manager on duty, but he brushed it up to the restaurant being busy. No excuse. Welps, Warehouse B&G just lost business from me. First and Last time ever going there.

A great taste of home for a displaced man. I grew up around the Chesapeake Bay eating blue crab cakes my grandmothers made. After living in Seattle for years I longed for that taste of ‘home’ and couldn’t really explain it to my Pacific North West wife, who hadn’t been East of Denver. With all my grandparents gone, my options for sharing with here a proper Chesapeake crab cake were limited when we visited my old stomping grounds in DC. I took the chance on the Warehouse, and I’m glad I did. One bite and she got why I was constantly yearning for them, why the Dungeness cakes with some kind of exotic aioli drizzle we get here just don’t cut it, and now she’s hooked. All the food, seafood, steaks, sides, deserts, wine, and service were all top notch. So we went back next time we were in town. And once again – everything top notch. Honestly at this point it’d be tough to go somewhere else next time we’re in town.

Mediocre in Most Ways. Dinned at The Warehouse Bar and Grill last night with a friend. The interior is pleasant but nothing remarkable. The menu is fairly typical with no items that really jump out. We ordered several appetizers, salad and drinks. Again, the food was ok but nothing outstanding. Having a hard time even remembering what we had, that’s how unremarkable it was. The service was slow and indifferent. The waiter brought us the wrong salad and seemed confused when we pointed that fact out. The wine list is decent but pricey. Bottom line: there are better choices in Old Town in the same price range.

My wife and I eat out at a DC area restaurant every week. We’ve been doing this for about 3 months. The Warehouse Bar and Grill is one of the best. Steak Ponchartrain was amazing. Wife had the salmon special – also fantastic. Even the desert was good. I had the house custard, wife had the chocolate creme brle. Would absolutely recommend WBG for dinner.

Enjoyable Food, Restaurant Name Doesn’t Match Environment. This was my first trip to Old Town and we had difficulty locating the restaurant we were looking for so we tried this since it had favorable reviews on here. The food did not disappoint. We ordered the Cajun Veal Oscar, the Lord Fairfax Cheeseburger, the She Crab Soup, and the Hazelnut Chocolate Creme Brulee. The veal was fantastic, it was cooked perfectly and topped with very tasty shrimp, crab meat, and a cajun sauce that was fantastic. The veal toppings were very generous and if you like veal, I highly recommend this dish.My fiancee ordered the cheeseburger and she loved it too. Big, thick pieces of bacon on the burger, it was cooked perfectly. The fries that accompanied it were also very good. The She Crab soup is basically a cheesy soup with crab meat mixed in…it was great but not as amazing as the reviewer before me noted. I liked it but not life changing. The chocolate creme brulee was absolutely delicious, possibly the best I’ve ever had. It was a generous serving too, I’m used to creme brulee coming in small cups but this was a good sized serving dish that can be shared amongst two people with plenty for both. The only thing that is strange to me is the name of the restaurant…it doesn’t look like a warehouse at all, it has nice linens and servers that wear bowties. Anyway, the strange name aside, great place to go in Old Town (although there are hundreds of restaurants there) and I recommend it.
