This place is GREAT!. Me and my family come here about once a week and I can honestly say it is one of my favorite places. The food is really good and the portions are awesome for the price! I NEVER leave hungry. One of my favorite sandwiches is the homemade chicken salad. I love that its a small family owned place unlike most of the other places on Hull Street. The atomosphere is kid friendly and the staff is really helpful. I also love that me and my family know the owner on a personal level and she is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. The other reviews on here are truly upsetting because this is one of my favorite places and I tell all of my friends and family about this place all the time!
Needs Staffing. I have appreciation for the small business, and this is no exception. However, we stood at the counter for maybe 5 minutes before anyone came out to ask if we were ready to order. And after we did order, it took another 15 or 20 minutes to receive our four sandwiches. And even then, the sandwiches were…average, which made me a little sad considering how much we paid. However, I really did like their outdoor dining patio. On a right day, it is absolutely beautiful to eat on, and surprisingly, the road noise was very little for a place on the side of a busy street. Oh, and their selection, you’ll never get bored looking through their menu, as they’ve pretty much covered all of their bases on the kinds of sandwiches that you can get. I hope that with time, their prices drop and the food expediting times lessen, because they have some pretty big shoes to fill given the sandwich shop that used to be in that strip of stores.
Hope it makes it. Off The Grid has an extensive menu and a very friendly staff. My only complaint is that it took a very long time to receive our food, and we were the only two customers there (18 minutes, to be exact). The food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t anything memorable. My advice to them would be to scale down the menu and focus on making a few things really well–and quickly! People definitely value time over variety.
