Sadly, this restaurant is going downhill. Took the family there several times over the past 2 years. The last time we noticed the food (even the sushi) was not as good. They used to have great dumplings, but recently the recipe has changed and now they taste bland and mealy. The sesame chicken is also bland and tastes odd. I am disappointed as the restaurant was a hidden gem along Lee Highway. The wait staff are friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately, it didn’t make up for the bad meals.
Mediocre, bland Chinese food prettily presented. We ordered two dishes, they got them both wrong and then the waitress proceeded to argue with us about it until we showed her the menu! Never again.
Very Poor Service.. Wife and I have ordered from here before and the food was delivered in 10-15 minutes. We live on Lee Highway in Arlington. Tonight we were told that we were outside their delivery area and it would take over an hour and a half. Then they said it was because they were too busy.Terrible customer service.
Best Chinese. These place was great. We went as a group and all got different things. The sushi rolls we good and I was so happy to find a place that has sushi rolls for me and Chinese food for my husband. We ordered the sesame chicken and the philly roll. Both wonderful. The place looks a little sketchy, but I’ve found the best Chinese place look like dives. I hope this place stays around so when we are in the D.C. area we have a good place to go
Happy Surprise!. We went to the Asian Kitchen last night with low expectations and were more than pleasantly surprised. Unlike some of the previous tenants, the owners are clearly seasoned in the restaurant business and they have invested in creating a lovely experience for their diners. The dining room is inviting. It is super-clean and well-but-over-decorated (and not just another attempt to disguise the old Pizza Hut) with a re-constructed sushi bar that is also inviting. The serving pieces are another surprise. They are of the quality you would expect to find in a more upscale restaurant. The service itself is warm and friendly and the food is fresh and delicious — especially the sushi which is artfully presented. Throughout the evening a steady stream of people kept coming in and were obviously enjoying themselves, the atmosphere and the food. Hopefully this bodes well for the Asian Kitchen and it will be here to stay.
Asian Kitchen. I have been to the restaurant 4 times since it has opened and have gotten the sushi. The Sushi is outstanding and I will be dining there this evening again. It also has a great kids menu a big plus.
