  I read an article that cowboy bar was a great local DC area dive bar but the staff were not friendly or engaging – these guys are supposed to be aligned with the DC area lost dog chain but they aren’t in the same league or half as warm – we review dive bars around the east coast and this gets a 1 out of 5 – poor beer selection and vacant staff

  Get a rope…… Maybe after my trip to Austin Grill I still had some cowboy vibe going, but didn’t have time to ford the Potomac, so I moseyed into the Cowboy cafe. While having a rustic roadhouse feeling and polite neighborly service. I’m definitely not going back to this rodeo. The food was just plain ol’ bad. My little lady got the house made tater tots and jerk wings, and I got a black and blue burger. The tots had this mushy consistency and a strange, almost cucumber like flavor. I don’t think the chuckwagon did anything explicitly wrong, but it just didn’t work. The jerk wings were tough and tasted too much of cinnamon. But really, how many cowboys are there in Jamaica anyways? Finally my burger was tastebud tumbleweed, just boring and bland. Let’s just say I won’t be blazing my saddle back here again.

  Once Great now BAD FOOD. We have been long time patrons but recently very disappointed.The burgers were over cooked and had large lumps of ? in them.See photo.The owner could care less!Too bad, they were great in the past.

  Best eats in Northern Va. Staff is cool, always have specials running, I love this place.
