Rocks!!! Third time here. Burgers are really good. Have had 5 Guys lots of times — like them very much. But Elevation is at least as good PLUS grass-fed/organic — big boost over 5 Guys (no hormones in beef).
Great lunch. I had the pleasure of having lunch while out running errands recently over in Arlington in the Lee-Harrison area. I popped into a bright clean spot called Elevation Burger. There was a bit of a line so I had a chance to review the menu. I ended up with a delicious Elevation burger, fries and a wonderful chocolate shake. The burger was hot and delicious, the fries were crispy and tasty and the shake topped off the meal well. My only mistake was not getting the names of the friendly staff so kudos could be passed along to them. Well played Elevation Arlington. Seems to be well run – I have been back and it was just as good at dinner time with a larger group! A pat on the back to your staff. I left a happy diner!

Fails to Reach Altitude. Well another entrant into the great DMV burger battle. Elevation burger’s game is a minimalist menu with a emphasis on freshness and ingredient origin. Some reviews have referred to them as a rip off of In-N-Out from out west, but I would generally disagree with that. Elevation at least lets you customize your burger. How is that burger? It’s alright.Yeah nothing special, certainly a step above the arches and monarchs of the burger universe, but nothing that would put it ahead of Five Guys. In fact I would say it pretty much IS a Five Guys burger that costs about $2 more. Maybe the elevation refers to the price, I dunno. Also they do have olive oil fries, which would be a neat and tasty novelty if they fried the fries crispy. The ones I got were on the soft side, maybe they are reluctant to heat the fryers up enough with the olive oil in there. In all elevation puts out a decent if uninteresting burger, but overall I was underwhelmed. The one draw they do have is you can order a 10 patty behemoth. (Maybe that is the elevation?) I kinda want to see one of those, still not sure if I want to eat it.
