  There are certainly better options in Arlington for breakfast, such as Silver Diner or Metro 29. Or, you’d be much better off at Original Pancake House in Falls Church, which blows away IHOP. If you are going to come to this IHOP location, service is better mornings than late night. dcfud.com

  Ballston. And the IHOP abuse tour continues ……… corporate sent me $25 of free food certificates to compensate us for our last experience. This was one of the locations where we could use those certificates.It’s been a while since I’ve eaten here. I used to eat here when there was no ceiling and the flags used to hang from the rafters. This is where the ex introduced me to the International House of Pancakes when smoking was still allowed in restaurants. On the evening after the worst snowstorm in DC history I trudged across the street hungry stoned and defeated to eat a T bone steak in the middle of the night at this nearly empty but open restaurant………we go back.The food was pretty good, although the sausage gravy left a little to be desired. The waitress was nice enough, the food was decent and the memories of the midnight snacks when we ate those club sandwiches with the onion rings was enough to make it a decent dining experience.4 stars decent food, nice staff, and all of those memories. It was good to see that it was still here.

  Sat for 15 minutes before I was offered something to drink and there were only two other tables that were seated.
