Pretty gross really. Pizza was who knows how many hours old. I ordered a panini thinking they would at least make that fresh, but they just pulled it out of a fridge wrapped in cellophane. Won’t eat there again.
Yellow lumps in hazelnut gelato…ugh. Cold pizza, lumpy gelato, and a surly staff. Perhaps an off day? I’m not returning to find out.
Meh. I was so excited with two new pizza places opening up near me in Ballston, but so far both are disappointing. (You can see my review of Rustico Ballston for the other place) Pizza Autentica is a quick serve type place similar to Sbarro’s in the mall, a little too similar. I ordered a large pepperoni pie with no sauce (I’m allegic tomatoes) and some garlic knots to go. The result, well……meh. The crust was thin and flavorless, the cheese pedestrian, and well just meh. The garlic knots were tough to eat and rather flavorless. Even my friend who eats practically anything was unimpressed. Stick to Pizza Roma nearby for decent pizza. The one advantage that Autentica may have is that it is open until 2am on the weekends. Maybe a good buzz will make it taste better.
