  Bare Bones Pizza. I tried out Belmont Pizza last week while having a very late in the afternoon lunch with my mother. I would like to have called it ‘Brinner’ because honestly I hadn’t eaten yet that day.When we arrived there was one customer at a table right inside the door and another in line ahead of us. We looked at the extensive menu board above the counter and decided to get a pizza with pepperoni, mushroom and green peppers. You can get your drinks from a fountain or via two coolers that are on the right side of the counter.We then took a seat in the dining room in the left hand side of the suite next to a big picture of the New York skyline on the wall. I looked the place over and it’s a very plain setup. Wood tables and booths, a couple of pictures and two TV’s with a checkered tile floor throughout.Our pizza arrived about 15 minutes later. It was large and well cooked. There was even a nice browning on the bottom of the crush where the pie had rested on a screen instead of a pan. Their oven must be running extremely hot because the mushrooms and some of the green peppers were singed. While this didn’t ruin the experience, it made us wonder what some of the toppings were at first. I found the food fresh but over all it was just an okay meal. The sauce didn’t really have any zest to it and really the pizza while well built was about as plain as the decorations in the place.I found the staff to be very friendly and they checked on us a couple of times during the meal as well. All in all, it’s a fair priced and bare bones experience and definitely worth a once over to form your own opinion. i give them 3 out of 5 stars.
