Sushi bar cannot handle crowds the place is half full and the Sushi bar is at a stand still the staff are not friendly and the customers should be tipped for the long waits. Find another sushi venue because there are far better fish in the sea.
Bruce and Adam whip up amazing sashimi sushi treats. The hospitality of Susan, Mayumi and Olga is second to none. Kanpai is a fun place to be!!
Delicious. Food is top quality and service is always just as good. My husband and I have been here several times and aren’t ever disappointed. Very creative chefs, nice selection, decent pricing, beautiful presentation, and most importantly the food is fresh with great flavor.
Very friendly service (even though we came in to eat very close to closing time!) The sushi was expertly made, and delivered quickly. I will definitely be going back.
Best in Virginia Beach?. Although I actually prefer Sapporo East, Kanpai is arguably the best sushi restaurant in Virginia Beach. The fish is fresh, the rice is perfect and the preparations are precise. I’m not a fan of the service or the ambiance, but the food is good enough to almost entirely eclipse those shortcomings.
