Amazing food!! 2 people got the duck tacos, beef lettuce wraps, veggie rolls and the sweet potatoe curry soup…omg awesome. For dessert the flower less chocolate brownie and the doughnuts, melt in your mouth scrumptious. We are foodies and this place rocks. Got my husband to eat soup for the third time in his life…what a find for Norfolk!
Alright Service, Decent Food. My boyfriend took me here on Valentine’s Day. He was told the service was alright but the food was good, we both agreed. We both ordered drinks, my first was the special for the night and there was way too much alcohol it in. We ordered about 10 different items on the menu overall. Traditional tapas sizes with an Asian fusion twist. Total Cost was $140, even with the $18 scotch my boyfriend ordered.-The sorbet and lamb chops are fantastic.
Whoever is posting negetive reviews for bardos… Watching the food network doesnt make you an expert and you arent starring in an episode of restaurant impossible. Bardos is oustanding. Food and all. All you nonbelievers need to crawl back into your shantys and stop pretending to be Robert Irvine.
Good food, spotty service. Went here for the first time on a Saturday late night date. Ordered 3 tapas to share and 3 drinks. The cocktails were great, the eggplant fries were phenomenal, and the other food was pretty good. They started breaking down tables right next to ours in the middle of the meal, which was mildly offensive until someone came over to explain that they were preparing to have their floors redone that night. Then they brought us a free dessert to make up for it, YUM! Confidence in their professionalism was restored until our server suddenly showed up and abruptly removed menus off the table and put down the check unasked more than 1 1/2 hrs before close. Bizarre, as we were not done ordering and hadn’t been there even an hour. Will probably give this place another try and just sit at the bar.
Overpriced, small portions that were mediocre at best. This place is a jack of all trades but master of none. $50 on 3 orders of tapas w/o drinks. We will not be returning.
I love tapas, and luckily there are several great places in the area. Bardo is not one if them. I tried three times, and honestly, the food was disappointing. Recently, the edemame was over salted and inedible. I could not cut one piece of meat from either lamb chop and was forced to gnaw at the bones. There are just too many neat and delicious places nearby to bother trying this place again.
Amazing Experience. I have only been to Bardo once, but I had a total blast. The food was well presented and very tasty, and the cocktails were amazing. I would most definitely go again.
