Don’t dine here….overpriced…..Shula’s in the Marriott serves finer steaks and the staff is polite and respectful. James Douthat, General Manager and Events Specialist, at Byrd and Baldwin was rude, condescending, and extremely disrespectful. STAY AWAY FROM BYRD AND BALDWIN.
Valentines Dinner. Had dinner there tonight, great experience. Food was amazing, started with oyster Rockefeller, I had sirloin and my date had buffalo strip, we also ordered Brie and crab Mac and asparagus as our entre. For dessert, Creme brle. Mouth watering! Our server Michael, was attentive and informative- had a great disposition. Great place for a romantic dinner.

Superb. This is by far the BEST steakhouse in all of Hampton Roads! The ambience and dcor are splendid…cozy and romantic. The hostess seated our party promptly and made us feel special as soon as we came through the door.The steaks are some of the best beef that I ever had, which is a high compliment from this girl who lived in Texas!The filet-mignon melted in my mouth like butter and the mashed potatoes where delicious.For dessert the crme brulee is a little piece of heaven.This is a must for a romantic night out, special occasion or just a well deserved splurge!
Great building and fancy decor . The staff was friendly from the time we arrived until we left . Waiting on us hand and foot ! I know its a steakhouse but I went for the seafood… We started off with oyster Rockefeller which was amazing . I followed with the Ahi tuna and was very impressed with taste and portion. The server recommended a red wine that complimented the meal just perfect!A little pricey , but we all know if you want to eat well , you have to pay for it.We had a great experience and will return for that steak instead of seafood.. lol
Fantastic. Let me start by saying how lovely the decor is in this establishment. It is beautiful. We were seated promptly at an elegant table. Our waiter made a few suggestions about wine and we went with a Cabernet. I started with an arugula salad which was really good and I think my wife had spinach salad which she also enjoyed. for the main course we both had steak. A filet and a ribeye. Both were cooked perfectly and went very well with the wine. We tried the mac and cheese with crab which was really creamy and tasty. We really enjoyed the atmosphere in this place as well. Our waiter was professional and helpful. A wonderful experience on our weekend night out.
