Chocolate Bomb is Great!!!. Delicious, moist, not too sweet dark chocolate, fresh/real whipped cream chocolate bomb cake was a real winner with our whole dinner party. A bit expensive but made to order, ready when promised.
Tried five disappointing items today: eclair was light but way too sweet, lemon bar had a completely undercooked crust that tasted like raw floor and virtually no lemon flavor to the curd later which again was overtly sweet and not tart or fresh tasting at all, the weird chocolaty bottom cheesecake thing was totally undercooked in the center, the white cupcake was moist & spongy with a very nice vanilla buttercream topping, and finally, the chocolate cupcake was really dry and stale with little chocolate flavor and a dense lump of overly sweet chocolate flavored butter on the top. Terribly disappointing…grab some pastries at Harris Teeter on Colonial next time, they are better!
Not that expensive. I’m not sure where everyone is getting off about the prices. It is not that expensive. The cookies are good, the cinnamon rolls are good, the cakes are good. There is a good variety with something for everyone. I’m generally impressed with this place. It’s a nice little local spot, it’s worth supporting.
Ok but nothing special. And who ever thinks they have the best cakes doesn’t know the difference between scratch and dunkin Hines from the box. Anyone can make them.
Very expensive, but yummy cakes. The cakes are good, but very expensive. They got my order messed up and didn’t even offer to discount the price for the inconvenience. I was pretty surprised about that. I ordered a yellow cake with buttercream frosting and they gave me a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. Big mistake… hardly an apology. So when you order a cake- make sure they write down everything you say. Ask them for a copy of your order (they write it on a notepad). Lunchtime is pretty good. Great fresh salads. I like supporting local businesses.
