Clean Uniforms Please!. Stayed at the hotel last summer and the wait staff uniforms were filthy. Looked like they were working on cars rather than serving my food. A bit distasteful.
Love their she crab soup. I’ve been here several times with the ladies from work, I love their she crab soup — some of the best i’ve ever had! The wait staff is always super nice. We usually go in with 15 people and they are always attentive to our needs.
Best Crab Cakes in Norfolk. WOW…these are absolutely the best crab cakes ever…you can actually see the lump crab meat…very little breading…absolutely delicious! I would strongly recomment this restaruant! Great service…very friendly and timely.
Terribly slow service and the food is just as bad. We waited over a half hour after we got our meals before our sons pizza arrived and then it wasn’t right. Would not go back!
Disappointment!. We ate there on a Friday night recently and only two other parties were dining. The service was amazing slow and they seemed confused as to who was responsible for what. The drinks are good but over priced as are the entrees. The scallps entree provided only five tiny bay scallops. Last time eating there!
I am here with my husbands ships reunion this weekend. There are over 400 hundredof us staying here at the Sheraton. Not to mention all the other guests staying here…it is a very busy place this weekend. Two mornings we have had breakfast at city dock and it was very disappointing. Yesterday the place was packed…two people waiting tables! We waited at least 20 minutes for coffee! When I finally got up to fill our cups from a big urn. I filled one cup and the urn was empty. Ok that happens…I mentioned it to a man working there and his reply was…that is not my problem. I only set up the tables! Omg! If he worked for me that would have been his last day! How about thank you, I will let someone know. The wait staff was very nice but more than maxed! Not fair for them to have to take the complaints when the mgr did not plan accordingly! This morning there was more staff but still a lot of chaos! My breakfast was gone 15 minutes before I received the hot water I had asked for. Again I don’t think staff was at fault. Poor planning and setup on the mfrs part. One of my friends just wanted a bagel and coffee and was told she could not do that she had to have buffet…..that’s all I had! Mgr here are some suggestions. 1. Hire enough staff for the situation. 2. Inform your staff you work together as a team! Never tell a paying customer that’s not my problem! 3. Inform your staff of what is available to the customer…like you can have a bagel and coffee w/o getting the buffet. 4. Try setting up a coffee station…where people can help themselves. 5. Have the proper equipment so that things run smoothly…like a toaster that people put their bread choice in and it toasts on a continuous belt so people are not waiting in line forever for the toaster. 6. Staff if your boss can’t do things to make your job easier so that you and the customer can have a pleasant experience….walk right off the job then and there! You take the brunt of it all. ..by losing tips because he/she did not do their job! See how the mgr likes handling it all him/herself! One of two thing’s will happen. Either the mgr will make some changes or the mgr will no longer have a job…mgr as far as i’m concerned my experience at city dock is not a good reflection on you! Staff you are just working for the wrong person.
I LOVE this restaurant. they have the absolute best she crab I have ever had! The atmosphere is also really nice; it’s very relaxing and right on the water. I can’t wait to go again!
