The peanut butter French toast was absolutely awesome. The biscuit n gravy was very good also. The service was good and the view out of the front was great, breakfast until 3pm can’t be beat.
Good breakfast. Ate there for the first time. Had French Toast and a Pancake on the side. Have to admit the French Toast was delicious! The pancake was ordinary. Eggs were scrambled perfectly. My server was very friendly along with the entire staff. I recommend it!
Cheap and Fast!. Yummy, great food – inexpensive and super busy – loved going there after an art show. Great service – friendly server – hope to be there soon again.
Did not enjoy breakfast, cold eggs served twice and home fries were cooked so long that they were crunchy like chips
The food is just okay but the Mimosa’s & the atmosphere are AMAZING ! I would definitely go again !
Sausage Pucks. Their sausage patties are hockey pucks. You could throw them to a wall and a chip of sheet rock would fall off. I could cook a better breakfast. I’m looking for another brunch place. This is not even my backup anymore.
BLAND. Okay, I get diner food. I’ve traveled all over this country and beyond and I’ve eaten at many a diner but I expect better from Norfolk AND from someone like Philly Decker. Recently, I ordered the chicken salad and was appalled that it tasted like something from a tub of chicken salad at Wal-Mart. I mean, I guess that’s what Wal-Mart tub chicken salad would taste like – lol. So, I went to breakfast a few times and tried different menu items. Waffle House and Cracker Barrell are better, seriously. The price is definitely right at d’Egg but, in this case, you really do get what you pay for. The service is outstanding; I just don’t understand the bland. Even the menu items that you would imagine should be more seasoned were bland: greens, meatloaf, gravy, etc. When I go out to eat, I want something BETTER than what I can make at home. D’Egg has the opportunity to be a diner great like Millie’s Diner in Richmond or the Blue Moon in Charlottesville. The ONLY reason they’re doing well now is location, location, location but that won’t last forever. They can do better and I hope they will.
