Machismo Burrito Bar hasn’t changed a bit in all the years I have been stopping there for lunch. They have fabulous food. The service is always quick and friendly. Soft fresh tortillas are their secret. The ingredients are always off the chain fresh and delicious. My favorites are the black beans and the seasoned beef. I really like this place for a drop in quick and tasty lunch. If your hanging round pop in and give them a shot they are so tasty. Worth every penny. And their affordable! Good Job Machismo!
Not what I remember. I frequented Machismo daily when it first opened. I moved away from the VA area, now 3 years later I’m sad to say Machismo is not the same place. It has a strange smell, there’s no music, hardly any people inside and worst of all, the food did not improve. It almost seems like someone else is running the place. It’s sad that good things change. I hope they improve.
Excellent Lunch. Had an excellent lunch here on Friday. This is the newer of the 2 Machismo locations in downtown Norfolk and is located on the corner of College Place and Boush St. The place actually looks like it used to be a subway.We arrived as lunch was winding down and there were about 3 tables full and no one in line. I ordered a burrito while my co-worker ordered a quesadilla. For my burrito I selected the Jalapeo wrap added black beans, chicken and brown rice, then cheese & salsa. Not sure what my co-worked put on his quesadilla but it looked very good.Each male included a fountain drink and a bag of chips and the price was about $8.00. The service was fast, and the place was nice to sit and relax in for a few minutes after finishing lunch. I noticed against the wall there was also a ice cream chest which I’ll keep in mind for my next visit.
